Every year Vista Grande High School sophomores and seniors are responsible for maintaining a digital portfolio of their best work over time, and presenting this portfolio to a panel of teachers, parents, peers, community members, college and career professionals when attempting to pass from 10th to 11th grade or to graduate from the 12th grade. Creating a portfolio and presenting it to a caring and authentic audience is a rite of passage for VGHS students.
On May 22 and 23, 2024 approximately 34 VGHS students will present their sophomore or graduating senior digital portfolios to a panel of 3-5 community members. After each student Passage Presentation, panel groups will discuss the student portfolio presentations and offer feedback. Presenting to a wider community audience and getting feedback from someone other than teachers is a vital component of Passages.
An undertaking of this magnitude requires overwhelming community support, and we would like to invite you to become a panel member for a select few student presenters on these days. Former panelists have said this is an uplifting and inspiring experience. If you are willing to be a panelist please share your contact information and availability on these days.
Thank you for your kind consideration and support for Vista students!
