BUDDING HERBALIST INTERNSHIP APPLICATION
Hello! Thank you for your interest. I am excited to meet you!
Here is the run-down:

Requirements:
- Time commitment: 8 hours per month March-October
- Must be willing to work at the farm at least 2 times per month for 3-hour shifts (or come once per month for an 6-hour shift)
- Dates and times are flexible. Wednesday and Thursday mornings-afternoons are preferred. Some weekend availability
- 1 hour per month will be dedicated to making herbal preparations.

Internship focuses on hands-on learning through a variety of tasks including planting, weeding, watering, mulching, harvesting)
Must be willing to work in various weather conditions

- Come with a positive attitude and willing to be a part of an intimate and inclusive herbal community

- Commit to the work

- Must have transportation

Cost
$100
Fee will be waived for former students

We will cover:
- Propagation Techniques including growing from seed, stem propagation, root division, transplanting
- Requirements for plants (sun, water, spacing, maintenance)
- Weeding techniques (sheet mulching, tools for cultivation, occultation, solarization, cover crops)
- Harvesting and drying techniques and methods
- Basic herbal preparations (tinctures, glycerin extracts, tea blends, oxymels, syrups, infused honeys, pastilles, salves)
-Must bring required supplies on medicine making days (jars, supplies for tinctures, oxymels, and oil infusions (vodka, vinegar, olive oil)

Please bring a half-pint jar and a half-pint of vodka to make a tincture

I am having a mushroom foraging workshop that day if you are interested in doing the afternoon session and staying for the workshop for free. It is from 4-5:30 pm
