As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, some, and possibly at certain times all, instruction during the 2020-2021 school year may occur remotely.  In order to serve the interests of all students and to protect the privacy of students at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy, I agree to the following:

1. I acknowledge that distance learning is live and meant to simulate the experience in the classroom.

2. I acknowledge that at no times is any recording of any remote session, including remote class instruction or any other remote services or sessions relating to the Academy, permitted unless prior written approval has been granted by the Principal.  Impermissible recording may include audio recording, video recording, taking a screenshot of a session, taking a picture of a session, or any other means of capturing the content of a session.  I acknowledge that this is necessary to protect the identity and confidentiality of all the students and to better promote learning during the sessions.

3. I acknowledge that teachers may opt out of teaching video and only instruct students over audio.

4. I acknowledge that I have discussed the contents of this acknowledgement with my child(ren) who is enrolled at the Academy.  I acknowledge that my child(ren) understands and agrees to conform to the policies in this acknowledgement, and will not record or take pictures of, in any manner whatsoever, any remote session pertaining to instruction or services at the Academy.  I agree that I am fully responsible if my child(ren) does not abide by this acknowledgement.    I understand that if my student does partake in any of the above actions they will be subject to disciplinary actions including suspension and/or dismissal from St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy.
