SACAS will be arranging the Diwali Mela at Sunnyvale Community center again this year, on October 15, 2022.
Day-of-the Event (October 15):
High school students are welcome and will be given credit for community service hours.
Event starts at 10am and ends at 5pm
Pre-event setup is 7am-10am
Post event wrap-up: 4pm-6pm
Volunteer time-slots are listed below
Sign-up for as many or as few time-slots as you can
Here is a sampling of tasks for volunteers:
1. Backstage help for the cultural performance
2. Decorations: help with decorations/rangoli (needed only pre-event 7am-10am and post event 4-6pm)
3. Pre-event setup (7am-10am)
4. Post-event wrap-up (4pm-6pm)
5. Volunteers for activities related to Kids Zone
6. Information Booth
7. Vendors help
8. SACAS Internal booth help
