West Ashley High School's Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) and School Improvement Council (SIC) are vital components of staff and student success. Working together to provide an enhanced learning environment, the WAHS PTSO and SIC offer the high school financial support and a strong volunteer base for events and activities.

Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO)
The West Ashley Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) works to support the staff and students at West Ashley High School through a variety of projects, incentives, fundraisers, giveaways, and other uplifting activities. The organization is made up of representatives of parents, teachers, students, and community members. The PTSO meets monthly during the school year.

All parents / guardians are encouraged to attend meetings and get involved with West Ashley. We need your help to make all of the projects and good things a reality! Join the PTSO by completing the West Ashley PTSO Membership Form to get involved.

We are also looking for parents / guardians to serve in officer positions. West Ashley PTSO Officers are nominated and elected by fellow West Ashley parents. Any parent / guardian of a child enrolled in West Ashley is eligible to place their name or the name of another parent on the nomination form below. Parents / Guardians elected will serve a ONE year term to be elected annually at the April meeting during each school year.

A representative of the PTSO will contact all individuals whose names are submitted into nomination prior to the election to confirm acceptance of the nomination. Nominees will be invited to submit a brief statement about themselves and why they want to serve on the PTSO. All statements received will be printed on the opposite side of the ballot so that voters will have a chance to get to know each of the candidates.

School Improvement Council (SIC)
The West Ashley School Improvement Council (SIC) is a council that works with the principal and is focused on school improvement issues. It is made up of representatives of parents, teachers, students, and community members. The principal serves as an ex-officio member. The SIC meets monthly during the school year.

West Ashley SIC Parent Representatives are nominated and elected by fellow West Ashley parents. Any parent / guardian of a child enrolled in West Ashley is eligible to place their name or the name of another parent on the nomination form below.
