Dates: (4 week course) Saturdays, October 17th, October 24th, October 31st, & November 7th

Time: 12:00-1:30pm East Coast Time, New York City.

Description: In word play, we finna take a real close lewk at the way language stay changin’ for Black folx. we gonna read texts, talmbout slang, and we finna write our own stuff.

switch codes: in word play, we will examine the ritual of language transformation that Black American folx have participated in since arriving on this land. we will dive into text, entertain contemporary Black vernacular, and write our own passages of dialogue.
