The initial legislation called for a $100MM taxpayer allocation, but legislation changed (2013) during the process as it often does. IG was funded by the General Assembly roughly 2015-2019, but was knocked out of the budget in June, 2020 during Covid. We have spent the time since 2020 deploying the remaining capital in the State Program—and are now deploying capital out of the SSBCI Venture program overseen by Dept. Community Affairs. The SSBCI Venture program is overseen by the US Treasury with DCA as the implementing entity. The overall SSBCI Program launched in March, 2023.
