2024 Scholarship Application

Healthcare has become financially driven; medicine and insurance are expensive and our communities need individuals dedicated to caring for God’s people. The church is the body of Christ and as members of the body, we are committed to shifting the healthcare paradigm one professional at a time, through contributing to young Christians interested in healthcare.

The Aspiring Christians in Healthcare Scholarship was established in 2018. Each year the scholarship will grant one (1) $500 scholarship to one (1) graduating high school senior who will attend an accredited college/university and major in a healthcare related field.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
 Be a high school senior (12th grade) graduating from a high school in Columbus or surrounding counties
 Be a member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church
 Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
 Intend to enroll as a full-time student at a college/university beginning Fall 2024
 Intend to major in a healthcare related field

Application Deadline
Complete application(s) must be received by Sunday, June 2, 2024

How to apply

Only applications that are complete with supporting documents and meet eligibility criteria will be reviewed.
Applications may be found online at: www.4thst.org

For your application to be complete you must submit the following:
 Scholarship application form
 A copy of school transcript
 A resume (optional)
 TYPED essay (at least 500 words) on both topic(s):
(a)Your aspiration(s) and plans for the future, and
(b) Explain how you would use your intended college studies (healthcare major) to address change in your community/world
