Stuy PA LIVE STREAM  General Meeting Presentation: Do students still need to take the SAT or the ACT?
Please register here (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/104258638394) by May 18th to join this Stuy PA Live Stream event!  You will receive an email by April  19th with access instructions.
Given the coronavirus epidemic, parents and students alike have even more questions about testing than ever.  Do our students need to take the SAT or the ACT at all?  And, given the move away from standardized tests that's been taking place anyway, have the SAT and ACT become truly optional?  Or should our kids be putting the same effort into them as before?  What about subject tests?  Should our students take them, and, if they do, what scores should they submit to help their chances rather than harm them?
Come to the virtual PA meeting on May 19 to hear Arun Alagappan, one of the country's leading experts on testing and test prep, address these and other questions. Mr. Alagappan, a graduate of Princeton and the Harvard Law School, is the founder and president of Advantage Testing, which was praised by then mayor Mike Bloomberg for its “commitment to excellence and social responsibility.” He has tutored literally thousands of students over the years, including many from low-income and under-represented backgrounds. If you, like most parents, have questions about your student facing the test challenge, the May 19 meeting will be your chance to have them answered.
Stay safe & healthy!
