Registration for NZAC Alpine club Matariki trip.

This trip is to celebrate Matariki and the completion of the upgrade to the Aspiring Hut.

The plan is to travel to road end and walk into Aspiring Hut on Friday 14th July and we will have a shared pot luck meal on Friday night. On Saturday people can do their own thing, be it a day walk in the valley or reading a book in front of the fire. On Sunday we will walk out and head home.

The hut will be operating under winter conditions so we will need to bring our own cookers and the flush toilets will be shut down but the long drop will be operational. Hut fees are $15 a night.

You are responsible for bringing your own food and refreshments. On Friday night bring food for pot luck shared meal.

Travel will be by private car and we will organize car pooling where possible. Anyone in the Alpine Club is invited so we could have people travelling from all over the South Island.
