Refrigeration Technician Role
SokoFresh is a fast-growing social venture that offers cold storage as a service for smallholder farmers. Through climate-smart technology, business model innovation and a digital market linkage platform we enable farmers to maximize the income from their harvests.
Our key to scale is to perfect our ‘full service’ proposition, which combines cold chain logistics, market linkage and value chain financing, tailored for smallholders.
We have a young and talented team with a good mix of business, agriculture and software development backgrounds.
At the moment we operate 9 cold storage units across 3 counties, that need to perform optimally. Furthermore we’re setting up 2 farm-level processing sites to produce avocado oil. In the next 3 years the number of cold storages will grow to over 100 units, for which we’re building an inhouse team to ensure optimal performance, O&M and seamless installation & relocations.
