iDesign-ST (Summer 4 week program)
WHEN: June 10 - June 27, 2019 (3 weeks), Mon-Thurs, 9am - 4:30pm
WHERE: Laney College (900 Fallon St. Oakland, CA)
COST: FREE for high school students
College credit: 1.5 units
WHAT:
iDesign-ST is a course where students will spend three weeks creating hands-on projects in carpentry, machining, and wood technology. This is a great opportunity for you to try out different programs to see if one of them might be a career path for you. If you enjoy making things and working with your hands, this is a great class to take. Previous students have made cellphone holders, rings, cutting boards, toolboxes, etc. The course is open to both high school students and recent grads.
If you’re interested in learning about manufacturing, come take this course. It gives you an opportunity to learn about the excellent careers in these fields.
