طلب تقديم للمشاركة في غرفة أخبار "نوى ميديا"
يسعدنا أن ندعوكم للمشاركة في مشروع "نوي ميديا" بالتعاون مع مؤسسة ميدان مع مركز برمنغهام وهو مشروع يتضمن إنشاء غرفة أخبار رقمية متنقلة تجمع طلابًا في لبنان وفلسطين وسوريا واليمن ومصر والسودان. انطلقت غرفة الأخبار في عام ٢٠١٧ للعمل بدايةَ مع فريق من طلاب الصحافة في الجامعة اللبنانية. وشهدت غرفة الأخبار توسعاً لتشمل طلاب من مصر وسوريا واليمن في عام ٢٠٢٠.
ابتداءً من شباط/فبراير ٢٠٢١، سيتضمن هذا المشروع تدريبات على التحقق من الأخبار والتدقيق في المعلومات بما يختص بفيروس الكورونا وسيتاح للطلاب والطالبات المشاركين/ات بالعمل على مواضيع صحفية و استقصائية (بعضها ممولة) ضمن غرفة أخبار "نوى ميديا" لبناء عملهم الصحافي قبل التخرج. سنعمل أيضاً على تنظيم جلسات بين الطلاب ومؤسسات إعلامية مستقلة مثل ميغافون والحدود وغيرها.
بسبب الظروف العالمية الصحية، سيعقد هذا المشروع عبر الإنترنت.
إن كنت طالب/ة صحافة فسارع/ي بملئ هذا الطلب قبل ١٥ يناير/كانون الثاني ٢٠٢١! سوف يتم إعلام الطلاب المختارين في أواخر شهر يناير/كانون الثاني ٢٠٢١. هذا المشروع مفتوح فقط لطلاب من لبنان، سوريا، اليمن، مصر، فلسطين ، ليبيا والسودان.
We are pleased to invite you to participate in NAWA Media, a project in collaboration with Meedan and Birmingham Center for Media and Communication Research. NAWA Media is an online student newsroom that will bring together students from Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Egypt, and Sudan. In 2017, we piloted the newsroom with a team of 10 students from the Lebanese University. In 2020, the newsroom expanded to include students from Egypt, Yemen, and Syria.
Beginning February 2021, this project will provide training sessions on fact-checking and verification–focusing primarily on COVID-19-related misinformation– and participating students will have the chance to publish their journalistic pieces on the NAWA Media website. We also offer limited funding for long-form investigative projects, allowing students to build their portfolio before embarking on their journalistic career. We will also organize informal talks with independent media organizations (like Megaphone, Al Hudood, and others) to allow students the opportunity to discuss with these organizations the challenges of independent media in our region.
Due to the current pandemic, this project will run virtually.
If you are a current journalism student, please apply by January 15 2021! Selected students will be notified by the end of January 2021.
NOTE: this project is only open to students from Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Egypt, Palestine, Libya, and Sudan.
