We love our Heap volunteers! Volunteers are a huge part of what makes The Heap happen, and what makes it special. If you would like to volunteer, please review the FAQ and fill out the application on the next page.

FAQ:

How many hours do I have to volunteer?
- 8 Hours (2, 4 Hour Shifts)

What volunteer roles are needed?
- Gate Assistance
- Parking Assistance
- Floater (assist with an array of tasks to ensure the festival and music runs smoothly)

What are the benefits of volunteering?
- Volunteers support the Heap community by giving time and energy to create a magical festival. It is an opportunity to meet other people and share your love of music. Volunteers who complete 8 hours will receive a free weekend admission. Volunteers are able to enjoy the event before and after their shifts.

When will I receive my assignment/schedule?
- A schedule will be sent out via email to selected volunteers about a week before the festival. Please note that volunteers will need to be flexible in their roles and may be subject to change.

Can I sign up to volunteer at the festival?
- No, please make arrangements to volunteer via this application prior to the event.

Where do volunteers camp?
- Volunteers are welcome to camp in the general camping area or with the rest of the staff near the house on the property.

Where do I get my wristband for the festival?
- Volunteers will check in at the Volunteer Check-In, which is located under the tent at the gate when you check in.

What if I have to cancel my shift?
- We need to be able to rely on the volunteers that we schedule and not be left short-handed during the festival, however we know things happen!

- Shift cancellations must be done within a week of the festival. Cancellations should be done via email at: heapvolunteers@gmail.com. Be sure to include your first and last name that was used on your volunteer application to cancel your shift.  If this occurs, please use due diligence to try to find a sub from the rest of the volunteers or someone you know who may be interested.
