ASAW People's Choice Horse of the Year 2023 Nomination Form
Horses nominated to receive the People's Choice Horse of the Year honor should embody the very best characteristics of the American Saddlebred breed and should exemplify to all, the very highest standards of the American Saddlebred.  The most important characteristics being its beauty, willingness to learn and work, its athletic ability and personable temperament.  While the American Saddlebred is extremely alert and curious it is a highly intelligent breed which strives to please.  The nominated horse should possess that indescribable quality - personality which endears it to owners, judges, and admirers.  

Horses nominated for this honor should demonstrate the following criteria:
  • The horse MUST have been nominated for ASAW points for the 2023 award year
  • The horse shall have been shown consistently at ASAW member horse shows
  • The horse shall have demonstrated consistent superiority by virtue of high placings at ASAW member horse shows
  • The horse shall have consistently placed well at nationally recognized competitions
  • Once a horse has won this award, it is no longer eligible for future consideration

ASAW will only accept ONE nomination per voting membership.  The deadline for nomination is 11:59 pm, January 15, 2024
