Key City Bike is super excited to host our 11th Annual WheelWorks Fundraiser on Saturday, May 18 and you're invited!! WheelWorks is an opportunity to connect with our community, celebrate art and bicycle advocacy, and raise funds to support the programming and operations of Key City Bike. The event will feature live music, tire changing contest, outdoor activities, and most exciting - the silent art auction!
We would love to showcase your artwork, and greatly appreciate your donation!!
Your piece(s) will be displayed at WheelWorks and available for sale by silent auction, you define the starting bid. ALL proceeds will benefit Key City Bike and enable us to continue making cycling accessible to our neighbors. If by chance your piece does not sell at the event, we will keep it to be used in the future for a silent auction, prize or raffle item. All donations are tax-deductible, please ask for a donation slip if you need one for tax purposes.
All ages and artistic abilities are welcome! All art mediums accepted: poetry, painting, photography, welding, illustration, mixed media, found objects, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, etc.
THEME: Cycles
We welcome you to share your interpretation of "cycles". The art may include bikes or bike parts, but that is not a requirement for submission. Consider what biking means to you, how does it make you feel, or places and people bikes bring you to. You may also consider exploring an appreciation for your relationship to our natural world, or it's cycles of change. The animals who make their homes in nature, water that brings life, plants and trees that add color and texture to our world. Get creative!
p.s. there's scrap bike parts at KCB that you're welcome to come rummage through to find inspiration!

Key City Bike is a non profit community bike space that is largely run by volunteers and supported by our members, donations and community - thank you! Your donation to the silent art auction will help us continue our mission to Recycle, Reclaim and Empower. Our volunteers recycle and refurbish bicycles in order to make a positive impact on our environment and reduce barriers to cycling by making bikes and parts available at lower costs than buying new. Your support will help maintain our physical space and programs including: earn-a-bike, workshops, kids' bike program, group rides and events. Thanks for keeping the lights on and the bikes rolling!
