Our contemporary society faces challenges that require, more than ever, the promotion of intercultural coexistence. Globalization has brought us closer, breaking down geographic and cultural barriers, and has given us the opportunity to learn, interact and collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds, beliefs and traditions.

Santa Lucía de Tirajana is a benchmark in this area, having promoted international solidarity, coexistence between different cultures and social justice, maintaining a firm commitment to these values since the beginning of democracy.

For this reason, from the Solidarity Area of the Santa Lucía City Council, a process has been launched to design the 1st Intercultural Coexistence Plan of the municipality.
