Background Information:

It takes a village to raise a kid. Happy Learning is a non-profit organization and we are striving to close the gap between school and families, and build a circle in which best kids learn from each other and become champions in their own lives. We have been offering Happy Hoops, Happy Volleyball, Happy Math, Happy Robotics, Happy Writer, Happy Thinker, Happy Debate, Happy Learning Summer Camp, Happy Book Club, Happy ACT, Happy Heart … Happy Learning for the Happy Kids!

Happy Volleyball has been helping the 3rd to 5th grade girls to play volleyball for the last 2 years. Many thanks to Head Coach David Shao and his dedicated staff, our girls and their parents enjoyed the program very much, and we have several girls competing in the national tournaments this summer. Upon the request of many kids and parents, Happy Volleyball would like to share this opportunity with more neighborhood boys and girls who are interested in volleyball, starting from August 2019.

Happy Volleyball includes Happy Volleyball Academy and Happy Volleyball Club. Happy Volleyball Academy is for the boys and girls who want to learn volleyball and have fun, and Happy Volleyball Club is for the incoming 5 and 6 grade girls who have already learned the fundamentals and are serious about volleyball and want to advance their games to the next level.

Happy Volleyball Academy:  Learn & Fun
Who:
• boys (incoming 3-6 grade)
• girls (incoming 2-7 grade)
• Non-club players will be grouped into 2 sections and practice based on their skills.
Practice Schedule::
• Practice 5PM - 8:30PM, Sunday. Will add Thursday practice later (Thursday 6PM – 8:30PM). Non-club players will be grouped into 2 sections and practice based on their skills.
• Practice at Harmony Middle School, or Lakewood Middle School.

 Cost for Happy Volleyball Academy Player:
• $12 per hour per kid. Can be paid monthly in advance.
 
Happy Volleyball Club: advancing game to the next level
 Who:
• Incoming 5 and 6 grade girls (2019 fall) who have learned the fundamentals and are serious about volleyball and want to advance their skills to the next level.
 Practice & Tournament Schedule::
·       From August 8, 2019 to March 31st, 2020
• Practice for August, September, and October - 2 practices per week. November, December, Jan, Febeber, and March - 3 practices per week.

• 6 to 7 club tournaments, from December 2019 to March 2020.
Cost for Happy Volleyball Club Player:
• $1500 for the season from August 2019 to March 2020.  Payment  can be made in 3 times. (Aug, Sep and Nov)
•  Jerseys, shoes, bags and sweat suit for all players.
• Happy Volleyball Club players will have discount (25%) to join Happy Volleyball practice during the off season.
 Coaching Staff and Training Program:
• Head coach David Shao has more than 10 years of professional volleyball experience, and he has coaching Happy Volleyball for the last 2 years. David is HOA coaching certified and he will be responsible for both Happy Volleyball Academy and Happy Volleyball Club.
• Assistant coach Jerry has played for 3 years of middle school and 2 years of club level, and 1 year of coaching.
• Our guest coach has played for the club for 3 years and specialized in defense
• Our Fitness coach is a national track and field athlete, and he will focus on strength, endurance, jumping
