Volunteer positions and descriptions
Music: Singing songs and dancing happen in the morning, before lunch, and then before the kids leave to go home. This volunteer position involves learning the dances to the different worship songs, then performing them on stage to demonstrate the actions for the campers. Volunteers should have lots of enthusiasm and energy to get the campers excited to sing and learn about God’s love.

Crafts: Each day, leaders at this station will demonstrate how to make/assemble a different craft. Craft station leaders can also explain the significance of the craft in relation to the message each day. These individuals are also responsible for helping the kids make the craft and ensuring each child is being included and having fun.

Crew Leaders: Crew leaders are responsible for looking after the specified age group and lead the campers to the different stations where they will help them and encourage participation. Crew leaders should be enthusiastic and excited to teach the kids about how life is wild but God is good!

Kitchen/Snacks: Leaders at the snack station will help to prepare the snack for each individual day, as well as explain the snack in relation to the Bible story for that day. Snack station leaders are also encouraged to talk with the kids, ask them questions and help to foster their curiosity and understanding of God’s goodness.

Games: At this station, leaders will explain the provided games, demonstrate how to play (if necessary), and play along with the campers. Encourage all campers and leaders to participate while ensuring the safety of all the kids. Game station leaders should also have lots of energy and be excited to help the campers get active and have fun.

Teaching: Each day, there will be a different theme or overall message. Leaders at the teaching station will provide a small lesson and Bible story to help the campers understand the meaning and origin of the message as well as its significance. Teaching station leaders are encouraged to be creative and really interactive with the kids. This station can also involve different activities to help explain the story better.

Challenge Station: This year we are introducing a new station where campers will be given different materials or objects and will be challenged to complete different tasks. Leaders at this station will help the campers overcome these obstacles and encourage the campers to work as a team to solve the problems.

Planning and Prep: In this behind the scenes station, individuals can help plan and prepare for both weeks of camp. This includes, for example, preparing different crafts such as cutting things out, or helping to organize materials. Individuals wanting to help here can also help to set up and prepare the church for the camp (putting up props, putting away chairs, setting up tents, etc.)

Clean-up: This involves daily help to clean up the church after each day of camp as well as at the end of each week taking down the sets and putting back the regular chairs and tables.

Tech Team: Volunteers on the tech team will help with the technical aspect of camp, they are responsible for the music and lighting as well as any videos that are played during lunch time.

Security: Should be 18+. Security involves ensuring the safety of all of the campers, leaders, and volunteers by monitoring the doors in the hallway and interacting with individuals who come into the church.
