First grade teachers will be hosting an optional session on how to support our growing 1st grade readers at home.  We will discuss the development of reading, the strategies we directly teach during reading workshop, fluency, phonics, sight word practice, comprehension, and engagement.  

We will be offering the same session at 2 different times to accommodate busy schedules.  Both sessions will be the same information.  Feel free to attend the session date/time that works for you.  Session 1 will be on Tuesday, November 12 @ 1:15 in Mrs. Rogers' room (118) and Session 2 will be on November 12 @ 6:30 in Mrs. Simmons' room (128).
