Assemblyman Mike Norris is holding his Annual New York State Assembly Summer Reading Challenge to help encourage good reading habits and continued learning this summer. This year's theme is "All Together Now", in cooperation with Summer Reading at New York Libraries.
All students in grades K through 7 living in the 144th Assembly District during the 2022- 2023 school year are eligible.
Students who pledge and complete reading for at least 15 minutes each day for at least 40 days during the months of July and August will be presented a New York State Excellence in Reading Certificate.
Parents/Guardians please input your information below and we will email you a reading calendar to track your child's progress on the Summer Reading Challenge once they are finalized. These no longer need to be printed and sent directly to our district office after completion.
On day 40 of the Summer Reading Challenge, you will be emailed a program update with an easy-to-complete link in order to receive a Summer Reading Certificate for any students who have completed the challenge so far. It is recommended to submit this info by Friday, September 8th.
