PlayON is Bright Beginnings Folsom’s Outdoor Nature program and is a series of classes expressly for children to explore the wonder and fun of nature. Class locations are held at various outdoor locations (rain or shine!).

Classes are 1 ½ hours long. Our teacher, Ms. Carrie, will facilitate hikes, games, nature activities/discussion, and encourage exploration of and play in the great outdoors… puddles and mud and creeks and ponds and whatever else nature has in store for us. Each class also includes a gathering time where we may sing songs, enjoy a story, and share or document our experiences.

Mondays: April 29, May 6, 13, 20
9:30 - 11:00 am —  Drop-off class for children ages 3.5 - 6. Please review criteria for child eligibility below. Parent participation is required; each family will be required to participate as an assistant to the teacher for one class during the 4-week session.

Class Locations
Each week our class will meet at different locations within about 10-20 minutes of the co-op (450 Blue Ravine), most likely around Folsom Lake, Bass Lake, Willow Hill Reservoir, as well as trails in the Folsom, Orangevale, and El Dorado Hills areas.

Tuition
$95 for four classes
Tuition is paid by cash, check, or (for current BB families) billed via Tuition express, plus a $25 annual membership fee for non-members.

Class Size
Enrollment is limited to 10 children.

Child Eligibility for Drop-Off Class
A child who is capable of listening and following directions, and independent enough to handle being in the great outdoors without one-on-one adult assistance, is eligible to participate in the drop-off class. Participation in this class will be at the discretion of the director and teacher.
