Established in 1995, the Society of Black Alumni (SOBA) seeks to create an environment that facilitates the development of black students into productive and contributing alumni. This is done through consistent engagement the university in four main areas: 1) University policies and initiatives, 2) Student engagement, 3) Engagement with faculty/staff and the Center for Africana Studies (CAS), and 4) Engagement with alumni.
