Stop TB Canada Steering Committee EOI 2024
Stop TB Canada is a network of individuals based in Canada committed to raising awareness, mobilizing communities, and generating the political will to end tuberculosis in Canada and abroad. 

The network is currently accepting expressions of interest from TB survivors, researchers, practitioners, policy and program officers, and CSO and NGO representatives, to join the Stop TB Canada Steering Committee's 2024 cohort.

The Steering Committee guides the strategic development and implementation of the network by providing perspective, guidance, and expert strategic advice on Stop TB Canada operations. The Steering Committee also works to enhance the profile of Stop TB Canada initiatives, as well as the impact of activities, by leveraging its network and expertise.

The term of membership on the Steering Committee shall be a minimum of one year, with the option to renew the membership for consecutive terms. The estimated time commitment for Steering Committee members is approximately 10 hours per quarter.

Examples of the individual responsibilities of the members of the Steering Committee include:
- Being committed to, and actively involved in, advancing efforts to end TB at home and abroad.
- Attending and actively participating in regularly scheduled Steering Committee meetings.
- Providing technical guidance and support to the network on TB practices, effective TB programming, policy and practices, and other cross-cutting issues and considerations for scale up of TB activities to achieve 2030 targets.  
- Overseeing the dissemination of resources, advocacy pieces, and social media content that communicates messaging that aligns and supports the Steering Committee mandate.
- Overseeing media relations, responding to media inquiries and coordinating messaging.
- Tracking and attending events and opportunities relevant to work of the Steering Committee.
- Advising on potential partnerships, fundraising efforts, mobilization and capacity building, and on other issues as requested.
- Taking strategic action in support of ending TB (such as writing an op-ed, blog, or engaging with an MP).
