Thank you for your interest in the AENC Speaker Showcase on December 9, 2021. We anticipate more interest than we have spots for speakers, so we'll use this application to determine the final set of 8-10 speakers for the showcase.
BACKGROUND
The AENC Speaker Showcase features 8-10 professional speakers as a part of the Annual AENC Trade Show. Speakers will have the opportunity to record a talk in-person at the Trade Show and it will be emailed to AENC members after the event. Trade Show attendees, which include association executives and meeting planners, will be invited to attend the recording session.
This showcase is an opportunity for association executives to hear short segments from several speakers that might be a good fit for their association’s meetings. Speakers benefit from both the recording and distribution to AENC members.
SELECTION PROCESS
AENC has appointed a committee to select the speakers for the event. Each potential speaker will complete an online application, and all will be reviewed by the committee.
In selecting speakers, the committee will keep the following criteria in mind:
1. Message – speakers should have a message relevant to AENC member associations.
2. Diversity – the speaker lineup should represent diverse perspectives, ethnicities, and genders.
3. Experience – the speaker lineup should contain speakers with varying levels of experience.
4. Fees – the speaker lineup should include speakers who are within the budget of most member associations.
SPEAKER FEES
Showcases are traditionally funded by speakers as a marketing opportunity. Each selected speaker will be responsible for a discounted fee of $575 to participate in the showcase. This fee includes the following:
• Eight minutes of recording time
• Distribution of video to AENC members via email
• Raw video footage from the event (3 cameras)
• Choice of two post-processed professional photos from the event (additional photos available for a fee)
• A high-top table and sign in the AENC Speaker’s Village (Special offer to speakers in the showcase: for only $600 more you can upgrade from the high-top table in the Speaker Village to a 10x10 booth your choice of available location on the trade show floor.
