Official Rules1. RACE PARTICIPANT MUST WEAR A FULL-VEST PER-SONAL FLOTATION DEVICE, DEEP APPROVED.2. EACH RACE ENTRANT MUST COMPLETE & SIGN AP-PLICATION AND INCLUDE ENTRY FEE.3. NO EXTRA DEVICES OR ASSISTANCE FROM ANYSOURCE WILL BE PERMITTED.4. EACH BOAT WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A NUMBER TOBE ATTACHED TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RACEPARTICIPANT OR BOAT.5. NO PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF 10 YEARS OLD ISPERMITTED IN BOATS.6. PARENT’S SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PER-SONS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE.7. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RULES MAY RESULT INDISQUALIFICATION AND FORFEITURE OF ENTRYFEES AND ALL PRIZES.8. RULES QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THERACE COMMITTEE WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

WAIVER: In consideration for allowing me to compete in the 1st Annual Krewe of Hebe Kayak Race(“Race”) to be held on Saturday, September 25,2021, I hereby waive any and all liability that Krewe of Hebe, its Officers, Directors, members, participants, agents, and sponsors may have to me arising from my participation in the Race. I warrant that I have read the rules, which govern this Race, and, as an individual participant in this Race, I understand that I do not automatically become the “stand on(privileged) vessel” simply by virtue of participating in this marine event. This understanding of the rules is especially true for meeting, crossing, and overtaking situations between Race participants and vessels constrained by draft or vessels restricted in their ability to maneuver. Furthermore, I hereby agree to hold harmless Krewe of Hebe, its Officers, Directors, members, participants, agents, and sponsors for any and all damage including personal injury or to property which may offer to me, my equipment or property that may arise in relation to my participation in the Krewe of Hebe Kayak Race. I ATTEST THAT I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTANDTHE CONSEQUENCES OF THE ABOVE WAIVER ANDHAVE SIGNED THIS WAIVER FREELY, VOLUNTARILY ANDWITHOUT DURESS.
