Pathway to Biliteracy Award Sign-Up Form

LAUSD honors students who, by end of 8th grade, have demonstrated a commitment to the path of becoming biliterate and who have reached a certain degree of proficiency in one or more languages in addition to English. 8th grade students can earn a medal and a certificate.

To qualify, you must:

1. have marks of "A" or "B" in Grade 8 ELA or Grade 8 ELD coursework for both semesters.

2. have marks of "A" or "B" in Spanish 1B or Korean 1B OR pass a district approved language test in your second language.

Once you sign up, you will be contacted by Mrs. H. Kim and Mr. Betancourt, who will be your mentors and guide you through this process. Deadline to sign up is March 1, 2024.
