We are looking to support some of our current Lincoln Lions with a contribution towards an upcoming athletic camp focusing on skill development for their desired sport of choice. A limited amount of funds is available, and priority will be given to grade 6 students who have had a lengthy disruption to their involvement in school athletics experiences based on the Covid-19 restrictions experienced through most of the year.

These athletic scholarships are meant to aid student athletes to improve in their chosen school sport by helping to cover the cost of Manitoba based athletic camps. Once application forms are collected, the final athletic scholarship selections will be completed by our Lincoln coaches and staff. The parents/guardians of the students selected to receive the athletic scholarships will be notified first and students will receive recognition of this scholarship at our year end awards ceremony.

Athletes applying for scholarships should have a combination of the following attributes:

- Have interest in continuing to participate on 2 or more school team sports at Lincoln or in grade 9 at their future high school.

- Have demonstrated strong athletic ability at school or elsewhere.

- Is a team player who demonstrates effort, a positive attitude and is willing to help others in athletics and
beyond.

- Must be able to include a photocopy of the camp receipt or a photocopy of the forms filled out for the camp the student will be attending.

- All athletic scholarships must be used towards school-related sports, such as volleyball, basketball, badminton, ultimate,  track, hockey or soccer and take place in Manitoba.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, June 8th, 2022.  Know that an image or .pdf of the camp registration form and/or payment receipt will be requested before the scholarship funds are received.
