2019 Oakland Peace Center Reading As Resistance Readathon
Join the Oakland Peace Center in reading for a cause. Especially now, deepening our connections to nonviolent resistance movements will strengthen our work to build what Dr. King called "Beloved Community." This also serves as a fundraiser for the Oakland Peace Center!

If you ever did a readathon in school as a kid, where family and friends would sponsor you to read and the money would go to charity, this is the same idea!

Open from June 1–30, 2019, but sign ups start as early as May 1 and as late as June 30.

We'll try to keep support going on Facebook and invite people to connect with each other throughout the month on both the reading and fundraising goals. We will also provide a conference call just before we get started and toward the end of the month so we can encourage each other. Is there any other support you would like?
