Required Events
A LINK Student Ambassadors' main responsibility is to be a leader on campus and demonstrate good personal and academic behavior for all Pointers, but especially incoming freshmen and transfer students.

Your biggest responsibilities will be to serve as a mentor to a small group of our Freshman students at orientation and give tours/school introductions to transfer students throughout the year.

At our Freshmen/New Student Orientation we lead groups of freshmen on tours and guide them through our welcome day by helping them get acclimated to campus. You will be responsible for checking in students, talking to them throughout the tour, taking them to each learning station, and answering any questions they may have.

As a student ambassador, you're expected to come to EVERY event. Your attendance is REQUIRED for Freshmen Orientation Day Aug. 9th AND our training days Aug 5th & 6th, where we go over event expectations and how to do your job. If you cannot attend these dates you will NOT be accepted into the program. If you are accepted to this program and you DO NOT attend these 3 dates for ANY reason you will be immediately removed from the program. This event sets the tone for the school year and we need all of our Link Ambassadors present to run the tour/experience groups. Training days are also crucial, even for returning members, due to the number of changes that occur over the summer.

PLEASE ask your parents/guardians and check NOW that you are in town and able to attend the 3 required events on Monday 8/5/24 and Tuesday 8/6/24 from 10am-1pm for training and Friday 8/9/24 from 8am-2:30pm for freshman/new student orientation. If you cannot attend these dates you will not be accepted into the program.

We ask, for specifically these 3 days, that you plan ahead and schedule your travel, senior portraits, and work shifts around this event. Send your parents/guardian these dates and times ASAP and immediately add it to your calendars so there aren't any last-minute conflicts that put preventable pressure on your peers. If you're playing a fall sport with preseason, please let your coaches know at the start of the season as well. By clicking "I agree"  in the box below you are agreeing to the dates and terms of this program. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in removal from the program.
