Thank you for your interest in our upcoming Wellesley Middle School FIRST Lego League Challenge Teams! I am Jase Watson, a member of Team Ultraviolet FRC #8567 and lead student mentor for our FLL teams. All teams are part of Wellesley Robotics, LLC, a 501(c)3 organization.
If you know of a rising middle school child who may be interested in our upcoming season of STEM learning and loads of fun, or if you are just interested in supporting our team, please let me know here. Please complete one form per child.
Thank you!

PS. Our FLL team is for rising 6th through 8th graders. If you have younger children, also check out our summer 2023 workshops at Wellesley Recreation Center.
*** Explanation of FIRST Registered and Alternate Positions and Demographic Questions ***
Though we have fewer than 10 open seats for our fall 2023 team, we have created up to 10 "alternate" seats in addition to our FIRST registered seats. Children in alternate and registered seats have the same learning opportunities. However, FIRST restricts the number of children who can attend competitions. Alternate and registered seats will be randomly assigned once we gather interest. If we fill registered and alternate seats, priority will go to our 7th and 8th grade students. Teams will be announced by mid-July. We will hold a parent kick-off in August.
The below questions will be not be used to determine alternate vs. registered seats but will be used to diversify each of our two teams (consisting of alternate and registered seats).
DEMOGRAPHICS
These questions will be optional so please don't feel pressured to answer them.
We will use what data we collect to create two diverse teams. Our mentors will then work with each team to make sure each student has a voice and the opportunity to meet new friends, build confidence, and learn!
SKILL
Our main goal for our two FLL teams is to provide every registered and alternate student with a rich learning experience. To do this, we will ask you questions about your child's skill level and experience. Knowing this information will help us figure out the best way to organize our two WMS teams.
