Spotlight April Break 2021
We are going to put on an entire musical over April Break (March 29-April 2).
The show this time is Madagascar Jr!
Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto the stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime. Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR. follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.
This program is be open to grades 2-12 and runs 9am-4pm Monday through Friday with a final performance at the end of the week. All the details are below. Sign up today, don't delay!
When: Monday March 29 through Friday April 2, 9am-4pm. Participants will stay at the studio the whole time and should pack a lunch. (A spread out lunch will take place to keep everyone safe!). Performers will return to the studio Friday evening April 2 at 6pm for a 7pm live performance for a limited audience (based on COVID restrictions at the time).
Where: Spotlight Studios, 3 Railroad St in Fairport. All rehearsals and the filming of the final performance will take place here.
Who: Performers in grades 2-12 in the area who want the fun challenge of creating a production of "Madagascar Jr" in ONE WEEK!
Auditions for placement take place the morning of the first day. After lunch we will start right in on learning material!
