For New International Students: Find Me A Buddy!
Hi there!

Are you a new international student at the University of Auckland? Are you worried about settling in? Feeling uncertain about how to open a bank account, get an IRD number (required to get a job) and to locate the nearest supermarket? Have questions about navigating online classes and exams?

AUSA Buddies are here to support your transition to Auckland, New Zealand. AUSA Buddies are University of Auckland (UoA) students who are keen to show you the streets of Auckland or meet up with you over a coffee to personally explain the paperwork you need help with. Your Buddy will also be available to connect with online and offer support virtually.

This student support service is free of charge and brought to you by the Auckland University Students' Association (AUSA). This mentoring programme runs throughout your first semester at the university and we welcome new students at any juncture! We also run events (both online, and in person) throughout the semester to get you socialising and making friends!
