EXTREMADURA (EXTR, ES) is the General Directorate for Enterprise that was assigned the
following regional competences by the Regional Ministry for Economy, Science and Digital
Agenda (formally Regional Ministry for Economy and Infrastructures):

• The management of regional incentives.
• Business financing programs through subsidization of interest and guarantee operations.
• The construction and operation of all types of business infrastructure.
• The promotion of business cooperation.
• The development and implementation of programs to promote entrepreneurship culture.
• The development and implementation of grants to business competitiveness and innovation.
• The development of support services for start-ups.
