Student Volunteer Application Form HRI 2020
* Please read the guideline, and submit your application if you agree with this.

Student volunteers will be required to arrive at the conference site by March 22nd for the training session before the conference, and expected to volunteer time to help with on-site registration and with general duties for a minimum of 20 hours and attend the conference from its start to close, March 22 (training, early on-site registration, tutorials, and workshops) through March 26, 2020.

Being a Student Volunteer is a great way to enter the HRI research community, meet other students in your field, and attend one of most important conferences in HRI. We are looking to include students with diverse backgrounds in HRI and from all parts of the world.

You need not have an accepted full paper, late breaking report or workshop paper at HRI 2020 to be considered for financial support, although students with accepted work will be given priority. Funds for student volunteers are typically made available as a reimbursement for early registration and applicable travel fees. The funding amount will be based on the number of conference attendees and no specific funding amount will be guaranteed. There is also limited SIGCHI travel funding available for non-US based students (i.e., student in a non-US institution) who are accepted to HRI Pioneers workshop. Detailed information will be sent after the initial notification for successful student volunteer applicants.

The deadline for applying for the SV Program is January 11th, 2020.
