This worksheet helps our team understand your problem and apply the appropriate NTL tool (contract task order, internal challenge, etc.). Please take a few minutes to fill it out as completely as you can. Don’t worry if there are elements that don’t apply or you don’t have certain information. This will just help us get started with the process and enable us to most effectively help you.

Provide the name, role, and email address for each key team member, including for the manager of the project owner (this facilitates recognition/awards that may result from the project).
Sponsoring Organization *
Provide the Agency, Mission Directorate, Program, Center and/or Organization.
Project Synopsis *
1-2 sentence description of the problem you are trying to solve and/or product/service you are seeking.
Project/Problem Description *
Provide a full description of the problem you are trying to solve or the product/services that are being sought.  Describe (to the extent possible) the problem in terms of performance needs (desired characteristics/parameters in terms of mass, power, volume, speed, accuracy, etc.). Include any constraints. Describe any criteria that will be used to evaluate any deliverables or services to determine project success.  Also include any approaches or solutions that you wish to exclude.
Background *
Provide any background or contextual information to help people understand the project. This can include links to websites, products, data, or attachments that someone would need to fully understand the problem. 1-3 paragraphs
Budget Notes *
Describe the amount of funding that is expected to be available for this project.  For NASA projects, include the name and email address of your resource analyst if inter-organizational funding transfers will be required.  If this funding is from a funding source (esp. Mission Directorate) that is different from the Sponsoring Organization listed above, note that here.
Schedule Notes *
Describe any key milestone dates for the delivery of any of the required deliverables or services.  Also describe any scheduling dependencies for funding (eg. “FY21 funds must be obligated by the end of FY22” or “task order must be complete prior to IAA agreement end of 6/1/2023”).
