Expression of interest to become Evaluator

This Expression of Interest is addressed to candidates wishing to become Evaluators as part of EUTeens4Green, a EU-funded project supporting young people or youth associations to implement actions that will advance the green transition in the most affected regions across Europe.

You can join as Evaluator of the Evaluation Committee if you are:
    A representative of a youth and environmental association,
    A teacher (secondary or higher education),
    A researcher working primarily in the fields of youth and social engagement and just transition but also areas such as energy transformation, activism, nature restoration, community-led projects
What you need to know about EUTeens4Green project:
    The EUTeens4Greeen - New Generation of Youth Ambassadors for an Inclusive Green Transition- is a project led by a consortium of the associations Startup Europe Regions Network, Youth Environment Europe and CEE Bankwatch Network, with the support from GCE.
    It  will distribute grants to young people – aged 15 to 24  - or youth associations based in one of regions eligible for the Just Transition Fund, who wish to run actions in their community to accelerate the green transition.
    Each winning project will receive up to EUR 10.000 to implement an initiative that will contribute to a better participation of the “less exposed” people in territories most affected by the transition towards climate neutrality.
    Projects to be implemented can be concrete actions to test or participatory processes testing solutions or ideas and will have a maximum duration of 12 months.

Selection of evaluators

The selection of the jury will be assessed upon the following requirements:

  • Their expertise in the youth, educational, environmental, or just transition sector 

  • Commitment to be available within the period of 12.1.2023 to 6.2.2023 to evaluate the applications

  • Absence of conflict of interest: evaluators should not be local facilitators, nor members of the consortium or from Generation Climate Europe (GCE). Furthermore, evaluators should not be applicants under EUTeens4Green nor from the same organisation as applicants. A declaration of Honour will be signed where the Evaluator commits to inform the consortium if they receive an application from a relative or someone they may know

  • Balanced composition in terms of gender and geographical distribution

The selected external evaluators (that will compose the Evaluation Committee) will be validated by the Steering Committee.

Evaluation reports, ranking of the eligible applications and list of awarded projects will be validated by the Steering Committee.
