Welcome to the 15th Annual Okoboji Boys Basketball Tournament

Tournament Date: January 7, 2023

4th through 8th Grade Teams! Three Games Guaranteed!!

Registration Deadline: December 31, 2023 Team Fee: $140

There will be 5 age divisions (4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th) to be filled with a maximum of eight teams per age group. Based on the number of registrations the tournament will be run in either a bracket or pool play format. Each team will play a minimum of three games. Brackets/pools for the tournament will be sent out a week prior to the tournament.

Please earmark on your check the grade that you are paying for as well as either Boys or Girls tournament.

Early registration is important because when the tournament is full, no more teams will be accepted. The last seven years we have filled up every age bracket prior to Christmas. No spots will be reserved without payment. No team will be eligible to compete without a signed waiver. If you cancel after December 31, 2023, you will not be issued a refund.

This will be the perfect way to start your 2023 portion of your tournament season. Even though it’s winter, there is still plenty to do in the Iowa Great Lakes. All games will be played on our new courts at Okoboji High School at 901 H Avenue in Milford, and at the NEW Okoboji Middle School in Milford. We will utilize both the New and Old Gyms at Okoboji HS and there will be a full concession stand available all day at all locations. We will also have special rates at Arrowwood Resort and Bridges Bay Resort & Waterpark, and will email you that flyer once you are registered.

Trophies will be awarded to individuals of teams finishing first. Medals will be awarded for individuals finishing second, and third, if there are 8 teams in the division medals will also be awarded to the consolation champion. There is no maximum number for rosters. Players may play up a grade level, but may not play down a grade level. More information will be sent on these contests as the tournament draws near.

In the event of a tournament cancelation the Okoboji Youth Basketball Association will retain $80.00 of the entry fee to cover costs. If the tournament is postponed to another date, there will be no refund.

I understand the Okoboji Youth Basketball Association and anyone involved in the tournament will not be held
responsible for injuries and illnesses, including COVID-19 resulting from participation. As the coach of this
team, I hereby give consent for emergency medical care prescribed by a duly licensed Doctor of Medicine or
Doctor of Dentistry. This care may be given under whatever conditions are necessary to preserve the life, limb,
or wellbeing of my dependent. As the coach of this team, I release and consent the use of any and all
photographs taken of my dependent.
