The Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity will lead Diversity Week on April 23–29, 2023. This year's theme is "Being. Belonging. Becoming." A time of celebrating layers of identity, community, and our journey from inclusion to belonging at Augustana.

Each office or organization interested would share their event proposal with a preferred date, time & location. They would be responsible for event costs, planning & execution. Once proposals are approved a schedule of events will be shared at a later date. Our office will include your event in our Diversity Month calendar of events flyer, but if you want a separate individual event flyer, you would create it. We recommended that you create separate event flyers because it would provide the campus community with additional event information. Our office will share your event flyers on our social media platforms.

Within Diversity Week, our office is hosting the annual campus-wide Diversity Celebration on Friday, April 28 from 12–4 pm in the Gavle rooms. We will have a local food truck, a DJ, games, and a diversity fair hosted by campus offices and organizations. Each participating office or student organization will host its own table. The hope is for each office or organization to share information about who they are and add an interactive element that focuses on an aspect of their diversity. Please reply to this email if your office or organization is interested in hosting a table. 

The deadline to fill out the google form event proposal is Thursday, April 6, 2022.
