2023 Bloomberg Arts Internship Worksite Partner Application
The Bloomberg Arts Internship (BAI) is a eight-week program, running June 26 - August 18, that partners with arts and culture organizations in Philadelphia to provide valuable internship opportunities to rising high school seniors. The Cultural Alliance conducts a rigorous application and interview process to match our worksites with candidates whose skills and passions match their unique needs and mission.

In addition to completing daily tasks as assigned, all interns are also responsible for completing worksite projects, which are planned and implemented in collaboration with worksite supervisors. The worksite project is a crucial link between BAI's professional development curriculum and the worksite experience. As a part of the onboarding process, worksites will be required submit an intern work plan, outlining key projects, timelines and goals for their interns.

In 2023, we aim to provide in-person worksite experiences to our interns. Two years of hybrid and remote programming have shown us that internships are more valuable for worksites and vastly more satisfying for interns when in person. To ensure a safe worksite experience, all interns will be required to show proof of vaccination, and all worksites will be asked to share details on their COVID-related policies. Worksites providing remote opportunities are still eligible to apply and will be considered in cases where an intern is unable to work in person.

Interns work 21 hours per week with wages paid by the Cultural Alliance, and worksites receive a $750 stipend per intern placed with their organization. Additional benefits for worksite partners include a robust support system and onboarding provided at no cost.

In addition to worksite partnerships, the Cultural Alliance also works with a diverse group of organizations to provide half-day in person and remote cultural immersion experiences. Depending on the host, a cultural immersion might include tours, workshops, or performances, as well as staff and artist Q&As with the intern cohort. Organizations that host a cultural immersion may receive up to $1000. If you are interested in hosting a cultural immersion experience, but NOT participating as a worksite, contact the Cultural Alliance at BAI@philaculture.org for more information.

Worksite applications are open through March 30.

PLEASE NOTE: We will have a JOB FAIR on Saturday, May 6 for all interns and worksites. Worksites must send a least one representative to the JOB FAIR.
