Below you will find an overview of what Bracken County Schools Virtual Academy entails.
**Please note that filling out this application does not guarantee your child’s acceptance into the Virtual Academy the district is offering.
(Grades K-2)- Students who did not receive a Developing score in 50% of the report card criteria during the 21-22 school year are not eligible.
Length of Program: Students enrolled in virtual and in-person instruction will remain in that mode of instruction for the entire school year. BC Virtual students must be passing (Grades 3-5) 4 out of 5 total classes, (K-2) 50% of the report card criteria total to remain virtual or they will have to return to in-person for the remainder of the school year. There will be no switching back and forth during the 22-23 Academic Year.
**In the event that a BC Virtual student would need to come to their school, they will be responsible for their own transportation.

Students residing in the Bracken County School District, or a school district that has a non-resident agreement with Bracken County.
Non-resident students must meet the criteria for admission set forth by the Bracken County Board of Education;

Academic / Behavior Requirements
Students must meet standards / academic performance on or above grade level.
Students must meet proficiency benchmarks on reading and mathematics.
Students must be in compliance with code of conduct and attendance expectations.
Technology Requirements
Students must have reliable access to high speed internet (a Chromebook device will be provided).
