About Us
Blue Demon Theatre (BDT) is a student organization with a mission to inspire DePaul University students from all walks of life to be active theatre makers. Our events include trivia nights, cabaret performances, guest speakers, playwriting opportunities, original works, 10-minute play performances, play productions, and musical productions. We believe in creating an environment for actors, directors, playwrights, stage managers, singers, musicians, dancers, makeup artists, prop masters, costumers, light designers, set designers, sound designers, and many other artists to practice their craft. Theatre is an art form that requires the collaboration of a multitude of artists. It is through this collaboration that a strong sense of community is formed.

About Short and Sweet Theatre
Calling all playwrights! Blue Demon Theatre will be hosting several 10-minute play performances from April 8th through April 10th. SAST is a performance of ten-minute plays that are written, directed, performed, and produced by DePaul students. All students are welcome to submit scripts (comedic or dramatic) that are ten minutes or less. Plays should include minimal sets, costumes, and props. Submissions deadline for the scripts is March 9, 2021. Playwrights can direct and act in their own scripts if they choose to do so.
