2022 Steering Committee Application
The KY Student Environmental Coalition is a network of students, student groups and young people from across the commonwealth. Our Steering Committee will be composed of young Kentuckians who will help to guide our work, increase our organizational sustainability, and grow our impacts across the state.

We hold space to meet in person as requested by team members and have consistent calls. Times collectively agreed upon by team members.

For the 2022 term, KSEC is opening applications to individuals with little to no KSEC experience. Applicants must be living in or be from Kentucky, with exceptions allowed at staff discretion. Our age range tends to be around 14-30.
For this team, it would be helpful to have 1+ year of grassroots organizing experience with a campus student group, a community organization, a non-profit, or any similar groups, excluding work for a candidate for office and/or a political party. That being said, all are encouraged to apply!

We accept applications year round, but actively recruit and onboard during the months of December and July.

In order to ensure long-term leadership and to stagger new steering committee members we will be accepting both 1 year and 2 year steering committee term lengths for our first steering committee. In future years we will only accept 2 year steering committee members with half the membership switching out each year.
