Application form to lead Salaat al Taraweeh. As this will be leading an Islamic prayer, you must meet the requirements to lead prayer:
  • Be a Sunni Muslim, part of ahl-us-Sunnah
  • Be over the age of Islamic Majority (14+)
  • Be male
  • Free from Shirk, Bidaah, and of good character
  • Hafidh al-Qur'an with good memorization / recall, and a good understanding of and practise of the rules of Tajweed
  • Have a good recitation voice
  • Living in close proximity of IPC/Jame Masjid Mississauga (5761 Coopers Avenue)
  • Able to commit to lead prayers during the entire month of Ramadhan
  • Have your own form of transportation (public transit is acceptable but not preferred due to timings)
  • If under the age of 18, require your parent/guardian permission
  • Will to dress and behave in an Islamically acceptable manner when leading Salaat
