Byrd Barr Place Food Bank Grocery Delivery Sign-up for July
The Byrd Barr Place Food Bank is looking for 5 volunteer riders to deliver bags of groceries to families in need in and around the Central District and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. These deliveries will take place this Thursday afternoon at 1pm and will start at Byrd Barr Place located at 420 E Pike St, Seattle, WA 98122.

Each volunteer rider will need to be able to carry at least two 20 pound bags of groceries. Having a cargo bike or bike trailer is prefered, but not required. As long as you are able to safely secure the bags to your bike with minimal repacking than all types of bikes are welcome! We will also have bike trailers at the food bank for you to borrow.

If you have any questions or run into any issues signing up please contact Maxwell at maxwellb@cascadebicycleclub.org

Are you interested in volunteering for bike deliveries for the Byrd Barr Place Food Bank on the Thursdays below?
Deliveries for Byrd Barr Place will take around a hour to make and can either ride alone or on a team of 2. If you sign up for a date, but then have to cancel please email me at maxwellb@cascadebicycleclub.org
How many grocery bags are you able to transport on your bike?
2 bags is the standard for now as they weigh 20 pounds, If you are able and would like to carry more bags and deliver to more households please put that number below!
Do you need to borrow a bike trailer from us?
These bike trailers are easy to install on your bike and at many of our parner food banks they will be available there for you to borrow while volunteering for us. After you are finished with your delivery and no longer need the trailer please return the trailer back to the food bank. Currently our trailers work best with all bikes with a quick-release rear wheel. Compatibility for bikes with a bolt on wheel thru-axle varies. Email maxwellb@cascadebicycleclub.org to see if your bike is compatible with our trailers.
