The Pfizer vaccine and/or booster is provided FREE of charge by the Port of Long Beach in conjunction with Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services. There will be no charge for crew members.

Per the CDC, it is recommended that everyone receive a 2-dose mRNA series vaccine (e.g., Moderna or Pfizer) and a mRNA Booster (e.g., Moderna or Pfizer) over a Janssen (J&J) vaccination/booster, as it provides broader protection from the variants of COVID-19. Those who received J&J as their first dose are advised to get Pfizer as their booster per CDC recommendation. As of right now, the Long Beach Health Department is only offering Pfizer. If for any reason you require another vaccine, please contact the Health Department directly at (562) 743-8024. WE ARE ONLY OFFERING PFIZER AND NO LONGER OFFER J&J.
