) is a (new) community of practice for women (and allies) in the manufacturing skilled trades (machining, welding, industrial maintenance, electronics, CAD, quality control, etc.)
We're launching our first event on Friday, August 23 (2:00 pm - 4:00 pm) with a factory tour of Kairos Power (707 W. Tower Avenue, Suite A, Alameda, CA).
Kairos Power is a mission-driven company working to commercialize advanced reactor technology in time to make an impact on climate change. At the company's headquarters in Alameda, engineers and technicians conduct rapid prototyping and testing to optimize components, systems, and processes through iterative learning cycles. On-site manufacturing capabilities, including welding, fabrication, and CNC machining, make it all possible.
Meet the Kairos Power manufacturing team and learn how they're helping to deploy a clean energy solution with robust safety at an affordable cost.
We would like to invite those who are employed in the manufacturing skilled trades, as well as students at local community college and high school programs, to tour the facility (note: space is limited).
If you are interested, please let us know by filling out this form. We'll let you know who we are able to accommodate. And WiMST allies are welcome to sign up as well!
