Mad River Glen Candidate Questionnaire 2023
Thank you for your interest in running for the Mad River Glen Board of Trustees. Candidates must be shareholders in good standing in order to be considered for the election. The board meetings are held monthly on the 3rd Saturday of each month. During the ski season, meetings are held at 5pm. In the off season, we meet at 8am. Board members serve on committees which also have 1-2 monthly meetings.

The Mad River Glen Cooperative is governed by the Co-op’s By-Laws. The mountain is operated by the staff under the leadership of the General Manager. The GM is hired and evaluated by the Co-op’s Board of Trustees, whose nine-members are elected by the Co-op Shareholders. There are 6 in-seats and 3 out-of-state seats on the board all with three-year terms. There is a two-term limit for Trustees. The Trustees meet roughly 10 times per year and there is an Annual Co-op Shareholders Meeting each year on the first Saturday in April.

Now What!?
Once the slate of candidates is approved at the February board meeting, the candidates will be considered to be actively running for the board. Ballots will be printed and mailed to all shareholders. Completed ballots may then be submitted by shareholders in good standing via mail, electronically or in person. The election results will be tallied during and after the Annual Shareholder's Meeting in April 2023. New board members assume their trustee positions in July.
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
