When: Friday, Oct 14th, 2022 2:00 PM
Where: main Redwood Grove at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park - meet at the slice showing tree rings, near the entrance to the main Redwood Grove Loop trail.
We will start with a brief explanation of shinrin-yoku practice, plus calling the corners and a brief meditation to prepare us. Then we’ll spend an hour or more on a beautiful walk amongst the ancient redwoods, gently and reverently immersing ourselves in the sensory experience of the woods. At the end, we’ll re-assemble and share insights from our experiences.
We will be outdoors for the full time – please dress in layers (the forest is often much cooler than in town, but can get pretty warm if it's hot out) and wear comfortable clothes and shoes for spending time on this easy and accessible trail. There are some benches available, or you may want to bring a portable chair if you think you'll prefer to sit most of the time (we'll help you get set up).
The State Park charges a $10 standard fee per car for day use parking - please carpool if possible.
