We are excited that you have chosen to sign-up to be a mentor for StreetFest!

StreetFest takes place on Friday, August 30, the first full day of new student orientation. It is designed to introduce students to the city of Grand Rapids, to the concept of service-learning, to help them take their first steps into community engagement, and to ignite their passion for service and justice. During this day, students will leave Calvin's campus and head into the surrounding community to learn and serve with over 50 community organizations and churches in Grand Rapids neighborhoods.

As a mentor, your role is simple: to build relationships with the group members and student leader, offer a mature perspective on Grand Rapids, and demonstrate a life-long commitment to community engagement while accompanying an orientation group for the day. There is no planning involved on your part; it is a day for you to walk alongside students and engage in the Grand Rapids community!
